The advanced, flexible, reusable surface insulation quilts (AFRSI) made from silica. This material was designed to replace white tiles known as low-temperature reusable surface insulation (LRSI). The AFRSI quilt is lighter, more durable, and less expensive to make than the LRSI tiles. The AFRSI and LRSI are used on areas not covered by the preceding materials.
